Aprox 34 years ago, I was commissioned to shoot a handful of New Zealand artists in Auckland, for feature stories to be shown in the Auckland Star (since sold out and shut down by the corporate overlords of the 1980's).
Thanks to a good mate of mine, and some clever spotting, I found that these very prints are now on the auction market at Webbs, a respected New Zealand art auction house.
The two artists portraits currently for sale are Fiona Pardington, and Gretchen Albrecht. I'd love to say I remember the days I shot these, but in reality they were just taken on a regular day shooting news and features for the paper.
Its still a kick though, seeing your old past works pop up in places you would least expect them to be... I guess now I can say my work has been sold at auction... to a collector!
